Synopsis:
A group of young Israelis with Down Syndrome and their siblings embark on a demanding trip through the Indian Himalayas. Many of the siblings have travelled through India before and want to share this experience with their brother or sister, and slowly come to realize how different the hike will be this time around. But together on this physically and emotionally trying journey, the conflicts and the complexities of the siblings’ relationships come to the surface. Set against the richly colorful backdrop of some of the world’s tallest mountains, new bonds are forged, and familial ties become deep friendships. The original soundtrack was written and performed by popular Israeli singer-songwriter Ehud Banai.

Award-winning filmmaker Yonatan Nir has been telling stories for over a decade- from epic photojournalist reports to the critically acclaimed Dolphin Boy (BJFF 2011), which was acquired by Disney Pictures and screened in over 130 film festivals. After joining Hey Jude Productions in 2008, Nir went on to direct and produce Beyond the Boundaries and Cutting the Pain. Nir is a film professor and has given over 400 lectures in Israel and around the world.
