60 minutes. 2013. Director: Billy Ben-Moshe. Produced by Doron Eran (Melting Away). In Hebrew with English subtitles. Genre: Documentary.
Special appearance by Chimes’ Debby Oshri and Executive Director Jorge Zimmermann.
For two years, people in a drama workshop offered by Chimes (an Israeli organization that offers services to people with special needs from birth through adulthood) and their instructor filmed in-class performances in which the actors spoke about the challenges and joys of their everyday lives as well as their dreams.
This exercise not only became a form of therapy. It became a professionally produced documentary with a red carpet premiere at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.
